In pedestrian injury cases, Surgical Animation can help present the extent of the invasive procedures required to treat the trauma. By visualizing the anatomy, operative approach, and medical treatment involved, attorneys can show decision makers what the plaintiff endured and help explain the operative reports.
As part of this Pedestrian Crosswalk Collision series, MotionLit developed Surgical Animations showing the treatment that followed the plaintiff’s catastrophic injuries, including a C6-T2 Posterior Fusion and a C7-T2 Laminectomy for spinal cord compression.
MotionLit created a C6-T2 Posterior Fusion Surgical Animation to demonstrate the spinal stabilization procedure performed following the collision. Built from diagnostic imaging, operative reports, and medical records, the animation helped show the affected cervical and thoracic anatomy, the hardware placement, and the treatment required after a partial calcified hematoma was identified.
MotionLit also created a C7-T2 Laminectomy Surgical Animation to illustrate the spinal decompression procedure performed after the plaintiff developed neurological symptoms. Using imaging, operative reports, and anatomical references, the animation showed the affected spinal structures, the surgical approach, and the findings of a seroma and blood clot in the fusion area.
Together with Accident Animation, Mechanism-of-Injury Animation, and Medical Timeline exhibits, these Surgical Animations helped connect the collision, injuries, treatment, and damages into a clear visual presentation before mediation.
ATTORNEY TESTIMONIAL
“The video was exceptional. We settled before the mediation for $4.5 million on a survival action. Thank you. I sent the video three weeks before the mediation. They called me one week later to settle.”
